Hi

I wonder what output variable operator (in cfx post, selection type ---all or none) does on vaiables?

I need gradient of some variables (like temprature)

Dear Selim,

Output Variable Operator = All means that all available (already computed) will be written to the results file. Not a mean to access specific operations like gradient.

If you are using ANSYS CFX 11.0, you can create an additional vector variable, and set its components to the components of the temperature gradient..

For example,

ADDITIONAL VARIABLE: MyTempGrad

Option = Vector Algebraic Equation

Vector xValue = Temperature.Gradient X

Vector yValue = Temperature.Gradient Y

Vecotr zValue = Temperature.Gradient Z

END

That should do it,
