I am using CFX-Pre to set up a simulation and want to rotate a mesh via the "transform mesh" command under "Mesh". Unfortunately when I click on it no window is opening. I've checked if the window is hidden or popping up somewhere else but no.


Same problem happens with right-clicking on any interface and trying to "edit in command editor". Same phenomenon. It seems as if something is preventing Ansys to open a pop-up window.



I have opened the workbench on a different pc on which everything works perfectly. The ansys version is the same on both PCs.


I would be glad if anyone can help. Thank you!

Are you using a multiple-display computer?

An alternative is to hard reset the preferences for Ansys CFX. Close all your Ansys CFX applications before attempting this.

Open a File Explorer window, go to your C:\Users\<your account>\.cfx and either remove CFXPreferences, or rename it to say CFXPreferences_old and see if the problem goes away.
