Hi everyone!
I'm creating a mesh of a pipe using blocking and O-grid methods.I want to create inflation layers near the boundary layer but I can't do it using mesh prism command. Is it because I have hexa mesh or it is just because of the size parameters? Any suggestions? Thanks a lot, I'm quite new to icem cfd. Regards, Apple |

Hello,
Since you are doing hexa mesh, you can set the near wall node distance and the strech ratio in the O grid edge itself. This will help you in resolving the wall region well. I am not sure why you are trying for Prism option along with hexa. It is meant for resolving near wall for tetra mesh. Regards Anantha |

It's probably a good idea to go through some of the hexa meshing tutorials to see how to apply the edge parameters to get near-wall spacings for boundary layers and expand the mesh size into the interior.
