Default Transient initial values problem

Hi,

I'm doing a transient simulation of blood flow. I have specified my flow as C1+sin(2*pi*t/Tp) [m*s^-1] where C1 and Tp are specified constants. When I try to solve in CFX-solver, I get an error saying I didn't specify initial values for this transient run. Where do I need to go to specify it? I have already specify my initial time as 0 under simulation type and also using automatic values in the global initialisation area.

Thanks, Colin.

Hi,

look at the expert parameters. There you can set a flag to true to override transient initialisation. This should avoid the error message.

Dear CC, and Dietmar

Go to the Initialization panel and set your initial conditions for each variable as requested.

Using the expert parameter is not a good idea unless you want to see the transient response of your system to an unknown initial condition.

Opaque.
