Default pressure change in CFX 11

Hi,

I'd like to implement a pressure change between two faces with a domain interface in CFX 11. So I created an domain interface between the two sides and as Interface Models I have the choice between "General Connection" and "Translational Periodicity". In both options I can input a pressure change in Pascal. My problem is that I don't really know what to choose from these two things. Has anybody a good example or tutorial for pressure change in CFX?

Thanks for your help

Use General Connection.

Thanks for your quick answer.

I have selected the General Connection option and the solver crashes immediately after the start with the error message "No control surfaces have been found at all for airinterface. To work around this please set the expert parameter "ggi permit no intersection = t"". When I set this parameter to true, the run does not converge.

Did you pick faces for the interface? I assumed by your earlier description that it was an internal face, in which case you would use General Connection. If it is a periodic connection (i.e. what goes out one end comes back in the other) then you should use the periodic connection instead.

This is all explained fairly clearly in the documentation.
