Hi,
i should impose an heat flux for a wall boundary conditions. What is the differences between the choice of heat flux (under boundary details panel->heat transfer->heat flux) and the choice of a energy source (under source panel->source->Flux)? Thank you. |

Dear Albi,
A boundary source is just adding a fixed amount of energy to the equation at that boundary. However, a heat flux specified condition satisfy heat flow continuity. That is, Heat Flux = heat conduction + radiation transfer + other physics Hope it helps, Opaque.. |
