Hi folks,
I managed to export a volume mesh created in TGrid as a PATRAN *.neu file into CFX5Pre (The pre-processor with CFX). I was then able to reflect the mesh. However, I could not find any option within CFX Pre that would allow me to export the mesh back into TGrid. Could someone advise how do I export from CFX Pre to TGrid? Is there a better way to export meshes from TGrid into CFX-Pre and back? Thanks, Vivek |

Does TGrid accept a .cgns file? If you create a .def file, you can open this in the CFX solver manager and export a .cgns file. You can always open a .cgns file in Fluent - so you can probably write out a .msh file there and import that into TGrid as well.

Thanks Johnny.
I apologise for not being familiar with ANSYS and ventured into it only to overcome a drawback in TGrid. I'd be very grateful if you could give me a step by step guide as to how do I proceed exporting the mesh in CFX-Pre to Fluent / TGrid. I have access to ANSYS CFX 10.0 Thanks Vivek |
