Dear CFD enthusiasts/CFX experts,

After accomplishing my transient simulation i would like to export information about each timestep for post-processing reasons. I want my data for post-processing to be in format: CGNS, Patran, Fieldview, EnSight... From solver manager I can successfully export them for each timestep using:

Tools -> Export results -> ...

I have plenty timesteps and thus extracting like that for each timestep could be a lot time-wasting. Do you know how i can export information for all my timesteps via solver manager? I would have done this from CFD-Post, but i think one can't extract data from there in the afore-mentioned formats.

I know that from CFD-post i could create a perl script and extract multiple timesteps simultaneously but i am not sure how to do this in solver manager. Please note that i want my information to be in one of the data-types above and not as csv or txt.

Thank you!

Have a look at the command line function "cfx5export".

Remember that just about all CFX functions can be driven by the command line. That includes pre-processing, solving, solver manager and post processing. It is only the Workbench side of things which cannot be easily driven from the command line (WB has its own way of doing things).

Thank you very much for the suggestion Mr. Horrocks. I will give it a try of course!
