Hi,
I have done hexa mesh to a model & converted it to Unstructed Mesh.I checked for Quality of Mesh. Determinate ->0.58 Aspect-Ratio->0.1 (minimum) Minimum Angle -> 4.7 but i wanted the above parameters with following values please tell me how to improve it. Determinate -> 0.65 Aspect-Ratio-> 14(minimum) Minimum Angle -> 13 Advanced Thanks & regards aero |

Under the tab "Edit Mesh" -> "Display Mesh Quality", you can select many quality criteria.

have a look at ansys web, you'll find demo room for ICEM. Go through the videos. I did learn a lot about the mesh handling there.

to improve the aspect ratio you will have to either increase/decrease the number of nodes in the long/transverse direction. Angle can be improved by assuring that paralles edges have an identical distribution of nodes. And adjacent edges have almost equal first node distance at the common node.
