Hello All,

I recently have a problem with CFX in Workbench. Whenever I want to open CFX Pre from Workbench I get the four error messages shown in the attached pictures.
Only the GUI does not work but I can update a project that is already defined and solve it.

I have already tried reinstalling Ansys, also with a complete Ansys folder removal but this didn't help. Originally I was using the 2020R2 version but when I tried with 2020R1, CFX Pre could be started once but the second time the same errors occurred.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

The error is quite clear, some essential dlls cannot be found.

Either, they are there but the path is wrong and it cannot find (then fix the path!)

or: they are not there so you need to re-install. Make sure you install with administrator access, and in administrator mode.

Also: Maybe your downloaded software is corrupt. Check the md5sum of your download against the ANSYS website values. You might need to download again until the md5sum is correct.

Thanks for your suggestions. I found all four .dll files in the Ansys Installation folders .../v202/CFX/lib/winnt-amd64 is this the location where they should be or how can I fix the path?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any data about the md5sum of the download packages on the Ansys website, can you explain where I can find these?

How do I fix the path? Google is your friend.

Where are the md5sums? On the download page on the ANSYS Customer site.

Hi Darius, how did you finally solve this? I just recently installed Ansys 2022 R1, and got the same error message when trying to access CFX-Pre from the Workbench.
