Function Calculator in CFX 10 Post

What is the mathematical relation between Force, ForceX, ForceY and ForceZ? I cannot find it in CFX user manual. Is it Force= sqrt[(ForceX)^2+(ForceY)^2+(ForceZ)^2]? However, I found that the results I obtained in my pipe flow simulations did not reflect this relation between those variables.
Furthermore, I have doubts on the operating mechanism of those functions found in Function Calculator, like areaint, areaave, etc. What does areaint do in order to give us the numerical values? It seems that the Function Calculaotr is a black box to me. I do not understand every function and variable used in it. Anyone could help me? Thanks in advance. |

Dear SKL,
What areaInt, and other functions in Function Calculator do is explained in the documentation.. See section ANSYS CFX-Post User's Guide | ANSYS CFX-Post Tools Menu | Function Calculator Without reading the manual, it will be very hard to understand it.. Opaque |

I have gone through the manual before. However, the description given in the manual is very superficial. So could you suggest other ways to get more detailed explanation. Thanks a lot.
