CFX meshing with Workbench

Default CFX meshing with Workbench

Dear all,

I have a small conductor in a coil full with water. My question is do I have to create the Water as a solid in order to mesh it in Workbench CFX mesh or to leave the space between the conductor and the tube walls empty. I want to see the temperature distribution in the conductor, so apart form meshing the water region I have to mesh the conductor and the tube as well. Thanks a lot

If I understand your question right you need to create a fluid domain for the water and a solid one for the conductor and then create a fluid-solid interface between them.

One should define a region called "waterface" in workbench and one called "conductorface" to make the interface connection process easier.

This only gives you the conductor and water region. If you want the tube as well then you need to mesh it, create a solid domain and interface it with the rest....
