2D momentum source for pressure loss

Hi everyone,
i'd like to simulate a pressure loss over a sieve in an airflow. I'd like to introduce the pressure drop via a superficial velocity dependent momentum source (got the formula already), like in a 3d subdomain. But i don't want to introduce an extra domain / cell layer. Has anyone experience in introducing momentum sources on a surface (similar to surface heat sources on fluid/solid boundaries?)
