Can CFX handle local hex refinement?

i.e. is it possible to locally refine an unstructured hex mesh by local hex splitting? Fluent can handle this, can CFX without using manually defined interfaces etc?

In CFX you will need to use generalized grid interfaces (GGIs) to handle such local refinements.

..or remove the hanging nodes by conforming the mesh.
