Hi, I'm a chemical engineer student and I'm trying to model a tank reactor with a first-order reaction. I've done the Ansys tutorials, but I don't know how to put the terms of reaction in the setup configuration. I'm still learning how the Ansys works, so I would appreciate any help. I found some videos on youtube but they use the FLUENT and my professor told me to use the CFX.
In the tutorial of "Reacting Flow in a Mixing Tube" there's a chemical reaction, but I didn't understood it very well. What I want to do is to make a reactor with one entry and one exit. In the reactor enters a fluid with an initial concentration of ‘A’ of 5mol/L , A decomposes into B following the expression: Ca = Ca0*exp(-kt) where t is the time and k is a constant whose value is 0,03 mol/L, and Ca0 = 5mol/L. I created the geometry and the mesh, but I don't know how to make the reaction. Can anyone help me or indicate any tutorial to help me with it? I’m still learning how the ANSYS works, I’ve never worked with it before. PS. Sorry if I made any English mistake. English is not my mother language. |
