hi sir,
i am designing a kaplan turbine with a prescribed head and volume flow rate with a specific efficiency i have done basic design in matlab by a code and obtained required radius, inlet and outlet blade angles, stagger angles and axial chords for both inlet guide vane and runner blades i decided to apply 4 runner blades and for each 3 guide vane blades then i exported generated domains to turbogrid and generated a structured mesh with a good quality by it. and finally exported the mesh into cfx-pre and adjusted the relevant settings in cfx(for example angular velocity,b.c. and interfaces and expressions definitions). my problem is i get a power much larger than that i should and that is my design value) i have seen many videos on youtube and they did not work. i ask you to help me if you can. regards |
