Default Import Gridgen Mesh V15 to CFX 10

I have created a simple structured mesh of a 12x36x1 square duct in Gridgen with a small 2x2x1 additional duct to simulate a jet in cross flow. I meshed them as two blocks.

I am having trouble importing this into CFX. When I try to load the mesh file in CFX-pre it only gives me the options for importing in the drop down menu: CFX Mesh (gtm) CFX-Solver CFX-TASCflow CFX-BladeGenPlus CFX-4 ICEM CFD ANSYS

In the CFX-pre manual it says that CFX will import Pointwise Gridgen meshes. Am I missing something here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Save your mesh as cfx5 mesh in Gridgen and try to import in cfx as cfx5 mesh.

Christina,

you should have the following additional import options:

... CGNS Patran Neutral, IDEAS Universal, GridPro/az3000, NASTRAN, Pointwise GridGen, User Import

Are you able to scroll down the list to get your required option?

No I do not have those additional options. I will have to do more research into why that is!

But I was able to export it in the CFX-5 format today!

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!
