Default How to calculate ave dinamic pressure?

Hello,

I need to calculate ave dinamic pressure on a surface. I defined a new variable Dinamic_Pressure=0.5*Density*Velocity^2 then I calculated ave dinamic pressure in two ways:

1) areaAve(Dinamic_Pressure)@[Surface]

2) massFlowAve(Dinamic_Pressure)@[Surface]

In the second case I have a dinamic pressure higher than first (about 200 Pascal). What is the best way to calculate it?

Thanks

Easient way to calculate dynamic pressure: Total pressure - static pressure

If the area over which you need the average is impermeable then the areaAve function is cleary the way to go as using massFlowAve on an impermeable surface is non-sensical.

MassFlowAve is usefull for calculating averages on 2D patches through which fluid flows e.g. inlets and outlets.
