Default Frontal area calculation

Hi

Im trying to find a way to calculate the frontal area of an object for evaluating its drag coefficient. I have not found any mechanism within CFX for this (had hoped that frontal area might be available in the function calculator as 'area', with x,y, or z perspective to calculate front/side/top projected area).

Is there any mechanism within CFX to calculate frontal area?

Thank you Stefan

The normal vectors for boundary patches are accesable from within user cel and user fortran. That and the area variable are what you need.
