Hi! I'm trying to simulate pulverized coal combustion using CFX 10.0. I'm following the steps prescribed in the related literature, as two competing reactions for devolatilization, one equation for volatiles oxidation and the Field model for char oxidation. The results were reasonable until I decided to use a Rosin- Rammler particle size distribution instead of Specified Diameter (the mean diameter indeed). Attempts with Discrete Diameter Distribution also gave bad results and besides of that, I can't understand what does 'Number Fraction' mean. Do you have some recommendations for me? Thanks in advance! Maria Luiza
