Hi! I want to model an input which lasts just a minute but I want my simulation to last 5 minutes to see the effect of the input. So my input follows a step function. How can I introduce this in CFX? Thank you!

Search for "step" in the CFX Pre manual.

I am not sure if this would work, but no harm in giving this a try.
Define a "User Function" you can specify the values of the input at t=0, t=1min as the magnitude of Step t=1.01min magnitude=0 Toggle on the "Extend Max" checkbox. You will then need to define a user expression that incorporates this user function. The above procedure should work if time is allowed as an argument in User Function |
