Hello,
I am working on the 2-way FSI simulation, and this involves multifield function in CFX. I perform my case based on ANSYS 19.0. However, what comfused me is that no "ANSYS Multifield" option can be selected in "Analysis TYPE". In "help", it shows that I can find "ANSYS multifield" option in "Analysis type". So, if multifield function should be activated by some command in ANSYS 19? Is there anyone who knows it can help me? It is really comfusing... Thanks a lot!! |

Have you done the FSI tutorial examples? They are available on the ANSYS Customer webpage and academic portal. They show the basics of setting up simulations.
Also note that to do FSI simulations you need a license which supports both CFD and FEA. If your license does not support FEA then the FEA options will not be visible (or the FSI options along with it).

Besides, I perform FSI in workbench, which contains CFX and structural parts, so I think that this problem may be unrelated to license. |

Did you look into the documentation for CFX-Pre/Analysis Type options?
As far as I recall ANSYS Multifield was superseded by the System Coupling approach, and deprecated @ANSYS CFX 19.x. Do not recall the exact release number. I also understand the previous cases still run in recent versions, but newer cases cannot be setup using the ANSYS Multifield approach.

There is an alternative approach: System Coupling using CFX.
Use the System Coupling option at the corresponding boundaries, and the workflow should be similar. It is my understanding that using System Coupling you will have access to more complex element formulations on the ANSYS side, as well as newer elements not supported via the Multifield approach.
