Hello,
I am doing a DES simulation of a jet in cross flow (JIC), and actually using hexa mesh elements. I tried do use tetra mesh elements, but the results were poor, with the LES and RANS regions being mixed. Has anyone done a simulation with DES and tetra mesh elements with good results? Thanks flga |

Yes.
I suggest you look at CFXs blending approach for DES which should give you some clues as to the reasons for poor DES / RANS separation. Some pics of the two meshes would also be helpfull. |

Thanks, Joe.
I will take a look in the DES equations, to see if I can redo my tet mesh in a better way. |
