Hi
Can anybody help me with how to read a file (for example a .txt file) in command editor in CFX? For example, the temperature at the inlet is 288 [K] in my case. I want to write this temperature in a text file and ask CFX to read this text file. Also for the velocity… the velocity is constant and is equal to 100 m/s in the x-direction. Should the text file have a particular format? |

Why are you using the command editor? It is to be used for advanced work, and/or workarounds.
For basic setup steps, you should be using the appropriate panel.

Thanks for your quick response.
But, how can I do this without using the command editor? I don’t want to specify and type the (for example) temperature in the “static temperature” panel. I want the temperature to be read from a text file. |

Make a user function in CFX Pre. Use that user function as your (static temperature)

Please read the documentation, and search for "profile data" functionality,
You must create your text file following very specific guidelines, you can load the file in CFX-Pre via Initialize Profile Data, and then connect the different files and columns of a file to specific entries in the panels. Either way, you must visit the panel at least once to take advantage of some automation. Once you understand the workflow, you can try and scripted via CCL commands if you are inclined to do so. But first, you need to work through the steps one by one to understand the connectivity of the information
