Dear all, I have generated a mesh and set the conditions in the CFX-Pre, but when i run the CFX-solver, the following message appear: "ERROR #004100018 has occurred in subroutine FINMES. | Message: Fatal overflow in linear solver." Does anyone know what that mean? Can you explain that for me, please? Thank you

You set bad boundary conditions and/or initial conditions. the linear solver is unable to find a linear solution with it. You must set these conditions more careful and/ or decrease the timesteps for the first (about) 20 iterations.

Hi,

The dreaded FINMES error means your simulation has diverged big-time. Have a look in the documentation about obtaining convergence.

Quest and cfd worker correctly point out that the problem can be caused by incorrectly defining the simulation, but it can also be caused by an excessively large timestep, unstable physics of lots of other reasons.
