Hello, everybody.
I am currently conducting two-phase flow simulation. Because this simulation has so many time series data, saving every data in .trn format is not practicable. Hence, I would like to save few selected variables as cvs format (not trn file). Selected variables are as follows: Velocity components of phase1 (x,y,z) Velocity components of phase2 (x,y,z) Volume fraction of phase1 (x,y,z) Volume fraction of phase2 (x,y,z) Static/Total Pressure (x,y,z) How can I do this? Thank you in advance for your help. |

Why is trn format not practical but csv is? trn format is binary and compressed so is much more manageable for large data sets. csv is a text format so will result in much larger files.
In CFX-Pre, in the output tab, you can select options to only save selected variables and to only save certain boundaries or regions in the simulation. There are also options to change the compression. These options allow you to reduce the size of trn files by a large amount.
