Turbogrid Topology Generation Issues

I'm trying to generate a mesh for a centrifugal compressor with 7 main blades and 7 splitter blades. Whenever I try to generate the topology to make a mesh, I get the following error (although V value sometimes changes):
ERROR An error was thrown while generating the span geometry for Topology. This probably means the selected topology is not appropriate. Details are given below: V value outside ot its bounds. Value =-0.52794 The topology generates with no problems when I remove the splitter blade. When the splitter blade is active, the automatic topology selection is single splitter high rounded trailing edge. I've tried selecting the other available topologies, but they all failed or caused Turbogrid to crash. In some other threads I've read that the problem was the blade intersected the inlet or outlet domain. I've tried moving the inlet and outlet away from the blade itself in BladeGen, but the error persists. Does anyone know what the error means specifically or has any experience with fixing this problem? Thanks. UPDATE: I've changed the rotation direction of the compressor in bladegen and now I can generate a topology in turbogrid. Any idea why this would happen? |
