I want to refine my mesh in near wall region to capture boundary layer>But I could not fine any option in icem cfd?can any one tell me that how biasing (fine mesh near wall) can be applied in icem cfd? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You can define local refinement using mesh densities and near wall refinement is usually done with prism layers. You can also define mesh sizes on points, curves and surfaces. Regards, Glenn Horrocks |

HI, If u r using icem-hexa then u can do the baising through edge parameters option. giving spacing 1 n spacing 2 with ratio 1 n ratio2. but if u r doing a tetra mesh then its best to use prism layers. but in prism layers, u can hardly get good quality. regards sridevi

if you are using tetra- mesh, you can also subdivide a prism layer into thinner layers.
