How rough ness can be found out?what is the formula?Second thing I have not understood about free slip and no slip ? I want to know that when free slip and no slip should be provided?

Free slip - flow is tangent to the surface No slip - flow has zero velocity in the wall

Thak u PertK, but In no slip zero velocity is there.but whether it is parralele to perpendicular to wall?and when to use free slip and when to use no slip?
