Distributed parallel runs on ANSYS CFX 10

Hi Everyone
Is it a must to have ANSYS CFX 10 installed on all the machine when we want to run distributed parallel runs? Thanks in advance. Manoj |

Hi,
I tried to run a distributed parallel case but kept getting errors because one machine was using ansysy 10.0 and the the other with ansys 10.0 with service pack 1. When i installed the service pack on both the run worked fine. |

If you are using Unix/Linux machines, you don't need to have CFX10 installed on all your machines. Install CFX10 on one machine and export installation directory as NFS mount point to other machines. Using this method can solve the inconsistent problem you mentioned above.

M: a quick question for you. Are you sure there's a service pack for CFX 10? I browse the CFX community webpage but can only find service pack for CFX 5.7.1.

Yes. There is a sesrvice pack for CFX-10. You can download it from ANSYS customer portal.
