Hi!

Do you have experience with DES-Simulation?

How should I select the timestep? What is the Strouhal number?

How can I start a DES-simulation from a converged RANS solution?

What is the blending function for a DES model?

Thanks, Juan G.

I remembered there's a paper in the community website. You can refer to it first.

This reference gives a good introduction:

Spalart P.R., 2001. Young person's guide to detached-eddy simulation grids, Technical Report NASA/CR-2001-211032.

You have to be aware of the differences between RANS meshes on the one hand and LES/DES/SAS meshes on the other hand.
