can anyone tell me the difference between 2D surface blocking and 2D planar, can 2D surface blocking be convert to 3D block(translate, rotate)? thanks!

2D surface blocking will try to create a blocking for each surface of the model. So it could be 3D overall - but the blocking will only be faces - no internal blocks.
2D Planar will put a single planar block at the middle X-Y plane of the geometry. Any blocking can be tranformed as you desire. Blocking > Transform. |
