Default Hex core mesh using ICEM CFD 10

HI to all i am using icem cfd 10.I am trying to use hex core mesh,but it fails.Can any body please know how to use hex core mesh?I think it is failes due to fine thin surface at one region.How to modify it?

Hi,

I also had probelms with failing hexa-core mesh, but then I read the manual and tutorial, and tried the approach from in there and it worked. The tutorial was the Fin meshing one.

The trick was (I think) to do the tetra first, then smooth, do the prism layer, smooth again, do the hexa-core but not from the surface, but from the surface mesh, smooth for the last time.
