Hello, I have been running into an issue where CFX will crash with this error when running with more than 5 cores.
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | Cannot write contents of handled_errors.txt to output file: | | Permission denied | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | The ANSYS CFX solver exited with return code 1. No results file | | has been created. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ End of solution stage. I am adjusting the contact resistance in my simulation and as it becomes very close to zero, I can only use 2 cores. What would be causing this? |

I don't know. How many physical cores does your workstation have? Is it running any other software at the time? Virus checkers are notorious for causing this sort of grief. Try running it with the virus checker turned off.
