Good day all,
How to calculate interfacial area density (IAD)? it is actually surface area/per unit volume. For packed bed it is simple. IAD = volume available to fluid/total volume or 6*(1-phi)/Particle diameter. (phi here porosity) suppose a=dp/0.59 (dp=pore diameter),a= cube/cell side and a=2.23l where l is side of pentagram. IAD I calculated is 1957 for 30 faces. Is it ok? Overall I calculated it as one pentagram area*30 (faces)/cube volume P.S see image for details Last edited by Goenitz; June 6, 2019 at 12:46. Reason: Correction |
