Some question for changes in CFX10

I've some questions for discretization changes specified in the release notes of CFX10.

For advection discretization, the notes said:

1.On inlets & openings, boundary closure for velocity is now integration point based when velocity profile is specified.

2.Velocity & turbulence profiles are evaluated using trilinear interpolation.

3.boundary closure & mass closure is IP-based.

How could these changes improve the accuracy or convergence of a solution if compared to the previous release?

I just got the CD & haven't looked at the documentation. Please let me know if they're explained in the manual.
