Default Discretization of the Diffusion Term

Hi,

In CFX, the Diffusion term is evaluated at each integration point, ip, according to the documentation, as:
 • ( k * d_phi/d_x * Dn )@ip

the derivative d_phi/d_x is approximated as:
 • (d_phi/d_x)@ip = sum( (d_N(n)/d_x)@ip * phi(n) )

But how is the diffusion coefficient k obtained at each integration point? Also with shape functions?

Thank you. Regards,

Rui
