Hi all,

I'm trying to determine the way in which I can display the total area of a cross section of the fluid region in the xz plane over the entirety of the length of the tubing, L.

Does anyone know how I can do this? I would anticipate that the cross sectional area near the bend is somewhat smaller than at the outlet/inlet.

Regards,
Zach

Bump,

I'd like to show that I've compressed my fluid region and would like to determine how, in post, I can ultimately plot the total cross sectional area as a function of y or length of the entire tubing?

You can just make planes and determine the area using the function calculator.
A challenge will be to create perpendicular planes. To my knowledge there is no easy way, other than by visual inspection.

Thank you for your reply.

Say I wanted to plot this not as discrete planes, but as a continuous variable of cross sectional area along the length of the tube... Is there a straightforward way for this?

As far as I know there is no straightforward way in Post.
