I carried out a transient simulation in CFX.
I add an additional variable whose model is transport equation, and its kinematic diffusivity is a function of local time-averages shear rate. I am confused about the local time-averages shear rate for a long time. I have no idea how to get it. I have tried to replace it with the local shear rate, but the result is terrible. Is there anyone know how to get local time-averages shear rate or give me some suggustion? Thank You |

Are you aware of the possibility of using something like
MyVariable = Shear Strain Rate.Transient Average ? Of course, to access such variable you must define the transient average first, and the appropriate averaging window/range. You should refer to the CFX-Pre Users Guide/Output Control/Transient Statistics to see how to define the quantity of interest. |
