Hallo. As I know, use " output to CFX " which is on the toolbar, i.e. last item. Also, you need to mesh your model before output to CFX Prepro.

Before you do that, you need to extrude 2D mesh in the third direction with one cell. For example, if you 2D mesh is on XY plane, you need to have cell in the Z-direction. CFX can't take a 2D mesh.

Hallo,

I draw a 3D hollow divergence nozzle with ICEM 4.2. Then I use Tet Mesh to mesh my structure. However, when I tried to write the file to CFX 5, an error messag, " running ICEM CFD/ CAE Interface vers. 4.2.6 "and extra arg: **.msh happened. what did that mean? Is the file after meshing file. msh or file.uns. and when I tried to import mesh from ICEM in CFX pre., it showed that the format is not compatible with CFX. What is wrong? Thank you .

Even though you output mesh into CFX-5 format in ICEM, you should bring it into CFX-Pre as "ICEM CFD" format. When I use Hexa 5.1 and write file to CFX-5, the default file is called "cfx5" without any extension. The latest release of ICEM will create a gtm file.
