Dear friends

I want to simulate the flow inside Timisoara Swirl Generator. visiting the Foamwiki, I found ICEM files of the geometry in four separate files (strout, stay vanes, runner, draft tube). I dont know how I can assemble these four mesh as one and do a simulation in CFX. I will be so grateful if any one can help.

thanks in advance

If the meshes have coincident faces (which I assume they do), you can straight import them to CFX Pre and assemble them there.
Open Pre from the CFX Launcher, start a new case. In the setup tree at the top is a "mesh" branch. Right click there and import mesh. Then you can add them one by one.
You must add the mesh regions to your domain and use interfaces to tell CFX which surfaces correspond to one another.

Do the tutorials for the meshing software and CFX and it will show you the general introduction of how to do it. But nobody is going to write a tutorial for you on the forum - https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...ible_answer.3F
