Hi,
In CFX-Pre select Import Mesh, and you'll be able to see the mesh formats CFX can import. Regards, Rui |

From what I see in CFX-Pre, a Fluent/Gambit import is not listed. ICEM CFD can read the Fluent .msh file - then write back out for CFX. As far as I know, Gambit pretty much meshes only for Fluent. CFX-Pre can also read CGNS, Patran, Nastran files - but I doubt Gambit can write those.

Hi
I've created mesh with gambit and imported them into cfx-pre by exporting/importing an ANSYS mesh. I've found that it is best to define the boundary conditions using the 'node' setting, rather than the 'element_side' Malcolm |

Hi, Well there are a few bugs in Gambit. What you can do is to take the mesh to T-grid and export the same in neutral or CGNS format (would work fine from Fluent-6.1 I suppose).
You can then import the neutral format mesh into CFX-pre. As stated Gambit is most well suited for Fluent only. Regards, test |
