I recently loaded cfx5.7 on a machine with redhat 9.0, I was suprised that it did not run. I checked the cfx website and it shows it should run under Redhat 9.0 Here is the error message I got, perhaps there is a way to fix it

Try this.
In the CFX-5.7.1 installation manual page 22 it says that to use CFX-5.7.1 on Linux RedHat 9.0 platforms you need to install an RPM which patches the system to GLIBC version 2.3.2-27.9.4 or later. This RPM is available at http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/redhat/...-27.9.7.i686.h tml. You can check which version you have installed using the command: rpm -q glibc A workaround while you are checking this is to use CFX-Pre with mesa (software) graphics rather than hardware graphics. You can do this by running CFX-Pre from the command line using cfxpre -gr mesa James |
