hi all

when Ma=0.95, I am computing an airfoil with a gap , Phiscal time scale=0.005, farfield rule=30 meters , the normal pressure force result is not converging , the transonic computing is so hard in cfx ,and how do I deal with it, my friends, help me!!!

Hi,

Start off with a simpler simulation using possibly upwind differencing, a zero equation turbulence model and double precision numbers. Use that simulation as an initial condition for your final run to convergence with high res differencing and a better turbulence model.

Transonic simulations are always tricky to converge. There area a few other suggestions in the documentation.

Regards, Glenn
