Hello CFX users, I want to simulate a multiphase flow through a glass pipe. Half of the pipe is inside an oven. I simulate the oven with the boundary condition: boundary type "wall", and heat transfer model "heat transfer coefficient". Is this the right way or is heat flux or something else better?

Hi,

You use the boundary condition which best suits the physics you are modelling. If you know the heat flux then use that. If you know the temperature and heat transfer coefficient then use that.

However, the most obvious choice is heat transfer coefiicient. Alternately you do a CHT model then you don't need to specify anything on that boundary.
