I extract the conv variable at cell faces and calculate mass residual. But the results of my calculation is much higher that what cfx output generates. Is there anyone whos knows why. Or can you tell how cfx calculates mass residual?
thanks for any help Tad |

Tad,
The CONV array is the mass flux (i.e. kg/area). To get the total mass in, you need to multiply by the AREA of the face. I think the arrays are in three components, so you need to do a vector summation to get the total. Jeff |
