Dear All,
Does anyone know if CFX-5.7.1 will work on a Linux PC (Redhat Linux WS (v.3) for EM64T) with an Intel Xeon EM64T or P4 EM64T processor? Many Thanks Sandeep |

Hi,
Check the documentation or the website for a list of support platforms. However CFX does not currently support the 64 bit extensions to the Xeon or P4 chips, so you will be running in 32 bit mode only. Glenn Horrocks |

I did check the community website & hardware requirements in the manual, but nothing was mentioned about these processors. I guess I should assume that unless explicitly stated, it probably isn't supported.
Do you know if the 64bit extensions to these processors will be supported in 5.8? Sandeep |

Hi,
I understand the plan is to support Intel EM64T & AMD Opteron chips in 64 bit mode on SuSE 9.1, SuSE 8 and Redhat Enterprise 3. Glenn Horrocks |
