This may be a stupid question, but I wanted to know if there is a limit to how much RAM CFX-5.7.1 can access on a machine running WinXP or Linux, as I am about to buy a new workstation.
Many thanks Sandeep |

Hi,
There was a technical tip on the CFX Community web page on a related issue, I recommend you read it. To answer your question, CFX5 can run with whatever memory is installed in your machine. It can run with a bit more by using swap/page files, but this is extremely slow and not recommended. Keep in mind the OS takes a certain amount of RAM, and that 32 bit machines have a 2GB limit for a single process. Glenn Horrocks |
