Hello everybody,
I've seen somewhere that it is possible to generate hybrid blocks within Icem Hexa. Does someone have an idea how this can be done? I guess the Convert Block switch within the Blocking Menu must be used but unfortunately there's no explanation in the help menu. Any suggestions ? Thx |

I remember that ICEMCFD AICFD tutorial has this hybrid mesh example(tetra and hex). I think you can do that parctice and know how to make a hybrid mesh.

O.K. I try to be more precise. Some month ago Ansys announced that one block within a Hexablocking can be substituted in that way that worse hexa's can can be transfered in other cell types so that you have e.g. tetra prism and hexa within one block of a hexa blocking. This function should work during your hexa meshing.
the example with the tube with one side hexa and one side tetra this is not what I mean. Any further ideas where I can find this useful function or is it still beta status? Thanks |

Do you mean unstructured hexa blocks? I.e. swept blocks?
