Hi CFD'ers Has anyone been able to be successful simulation on 3-D vortex tube? Would anyone be willing to share experiences with me?

Hi Chai,
Here is a bit of information about a CFX simulation of the Hilsch tube: ..11.1: laminar calculations using CFX code - energy separation due to viscous work* FROEHLINGSDORF, W.; UNGER, H.* Numerical investigations of the compressible flow and the energy separation in the Ranque-Hilsch vortex tube* Int. J. Heat and Mass Transf. 42, 415* 1999. ` This information was found on the page: http://vonkarman.stanford.edu/tsd/pbstuff/pbref/ref99 Unfortunately I have no access to the mentioned simulation. If you succed to get it or any furter information about this tube please let me know, I am also interested in it. Regrds, Joseph. |
